Illuminating Black History and Culture Through Art PD Playlist

The Illuminating Black History and Culture Through Art PD Playlist is a collection of existing and new resources for educators and their students to view, use and share to illuminate Black History, culture and arts to support understanding, teaching, and learning through the month and beyond. Cell Phone Use in Connecticut Schools

The Connecticut State Board of Education believes that all students deserve an excellent education that supports growth in knowledge, maturity, wellness, and readiness for a life of success and global citizenship.  The Board further believes that schools must ensure that Personal Technology (Cell Phone) Use in Schools policies address student relationships with technology, online spaces, social media, and cell phones and their impact on learning and mental health. Learn more in the State's Position Statement and Policy Guidance PDF (August 2024).

School is better with you! In school, every day.

The Connecticut State Department of Education's (CSDE) School Is Better with You campaign website offers resources that promote the importance of attending school, every day, while raising awareness about chronic absenteeism (which is missing 10% or more of school, or 18+ days per year). If you're not sure when to keep your child home sick, your child is missing school due to anxiety, or you have other concerns about your child attending school, FAQs on the portal may help.
